Dear Parent,
As a parent, you prepare your child for school the best you can every day. But what do you do about developing the confidence to ask and answer questions? What about the self-control & self-confidence it takes for your child to raise their hand in school? How about the discipline to focus, concentrate and learn at their maximum potential. We develop these traits and more at ATA Martial Arts.
My name is Louis Good and I have been working with children like yours for many years, helping them develop character tools they can use for the rest of their life, such as self-confidence, discipline, respect, and focus. ATA Martial Arts and our staff are fully dedicated to this goal.
In our program your child will not only have fun, but also he or she will learn and build the confidence to be a great success at home, school, and in Life! We will go over the basics of self defense, child abduction prevention, and bully prevention in class. Read on and see what some parents have to say about our program.
Louis Good
"We allowed our daughter Jordan to join ATA after spending an hour doing different drills. She enjoyed every minute of it. During the next few training sessions, we saw a lot of improvement in her confidence level and enthusiasm. We were very impressed with the added bonus of the "Bullying" curriculum. We hope to stay with ATA for a long time"
Elaine Iaos (Parent)
"The bullying program gives the kids a name for action, they see and sometimes do. It also plants the seed for how to deal with the situations in real life. Overall the whole experience has been very positive for Jerod."
John Boucher (Parent)
"I think the program is great. The lessons of techniques are very helpful & good to know. Learning the self defense moves is excellent for my child & is something I want him to know & learn more of. The classes have not only been informational for myself & child but also fun at the same time. We enjoy comming & learning more & more. The staff is a great team to work with & can't wait to learn more every time. Also teaching my child respect, talking out issues & building up his self-esteem is another great reason we come."
Liza Suazo (Parent)
"Harry & Will are learning skills and values that can be applied to all aspects of life. The bully prevention material has allowed the conversations to continue at home. The are challenging themselves more than they have in any other activity or program"
Kristina Steinmetz (Parent)
"Christian enjoyed the bully prevention class. He likes the experience learned from other kids in class besides what he experience himself from school and the public. It has really build his self confidence with much of what he does. He actually talks with me about certain applications of taekwondo moves in case of any bullying (physically)"
Tai Chung (Parent)
"This program has helped my daughter with her attitude and her leadership skills! We love it!!!!
Angela Eaton (Parent)
"Ben has developed more self confidence and isn't quite as shy as he used to be. This has by far been the most positive program he's been in. Ben has learned so many of the skills needed to handle bully-type situations, for himself but also in defense of others(friends at school) Hes also made many new friends in Taekwondo community which he values greatly"
Sue Smith (Parent)
"Makayla & Josh have gained confidence and a better knowledge of their ability to be able to take care of themselves and pride. They have learned a better respect for others and how to help others their age. Great program"
Jody Buckner (Grand Parent)
"It made me feel confident because I didn't feel fear or scariness because I knew that if I use the solutions that we use in the bully program I would be OK. So when I see a friend being bullied or me I know what to do like; ignoring them, staying away from them so I wont get picked on."
Mckayla Fuller (Student)
"It helped me because I've been more respectful. It also helps me with my self confidence"
Ben Smith (Student)
"The bully program helped me by ignoring them and I learned you don't have to do what they are doing like treating other kids bad. You can just walk away"
Josh Fuller (Student)
"It made me confident because I know what to do when they bully me"

We came for Kids in Power 9 months ago, and I absolutely love the power it has given my son. He never sticks with anything for long, a few times and he is ready for a change. The instructors are amazing; they don't just teach, they educate, and help you understand.
The gratitude I have for this place is immeasurable, they are the best!
I want to give Good's ATA Northwest Martial Arts a 5 out of 5 review! When I visited (several times), I was so impressed with how Mr. Good conducted the classes. I am a Master's level psychologist and behavior specialist, and what I witnessed was a delight! Everyone was engaged and having lots of fun - while learning and practicing their skills. I loved how positive Mr. Good was in his management of the classes. The music was up, and the children were practicing their kicks by trying to keep balloons in the air! I witnessed one Time Out incident, which was TRULY a Time Out from Reinforcement, which is rarely seen. When a boy misbehaved, Mr. Good simply stopped the music and told everyone to "freeze" for 10 seconds. No one - including that boy - wanted to miss out on any of the fun! The music was turned back on and everyone continued. He didn't need to even say anything to the boy. Also, Mr. Good emphasizes Bully Prevention and talks to the children - encouraging them to behave well at home, in addition to showing respect at the school. VERY well run!Teresa Henderson
