I want to give Good's ATA Northwest Martial Arts a 5 out of 5 review! When I visited (several times), I was so impressed with how Mr. Good conducted the classes. I am a Master's level psychologist and behavior specialist, and what I witnessed was a delight! Everyone was engaged and having lots of fun - while learning and practicing their skills. I loved how positive Mr. Good was in his management of the classes. The music was up, and the children were practicing their kicks by trying to keep balloons in the air! I witnessed one Time Out incident, which was TRULY a Time Out from Reinforcement, which is rarely seen. When a boy misbehaved, Mr. Good simply stopped the music and told everyone to "freeze" for 10 seconds. No one - including that boy - wanted to miss out on any of the fun! The music was turned back on and everyone continued. He didn't need to even say anything to the boy. Also, Mr. Good emphasizes Bully Prevention and talks to the children - encouraging them to behave well at home, in addition to showing respect at the school. VERY well run!
Good's ATA Martial Arts is a family-centric school that teaches Taekwondo to people of all ages and levels. It was an amazing experience for both me and my daughter to take classes taught by, or under the instruction of, Mr. Good. I don't live in the same area anymore and really miss going! I recommend this place to anyone interested in learning martial arts or just looking for a fun, healthy way to get great exercise!
We came for Kids in Power 9 months ago, and I absolutely love the power it has given my son. He never sticks with anything for long, a few times and he is ready for a change. The instructors are amazing; they don't just teach, they educate, and help you understand.
The gratitude I have for this place is immeasurable, they are the best!
Harry is an absolute gem with the Littles! Thank you so much!
Louis Good takes interest in each student and also ensures that each student is taught correctly and safely.
This place is great. They really take the time to explain and they moves and why and what each move is for. Very family friendly including family packages. Again this place is great for explaining and walking you thru the discipline until you get it right.
The absolute best! My son had grown leaps and bounds! I love being part of the ATA family!
We love the focus on safety, and life skills. The instructors and even the lower training belts are fantastic with the little ones. Very open family feel. I would refer to a anyone. Keep up the good work 🙂
We love Goods ATA. Originally we attended a Bully Prevention class due to struggles my 10 year old was having at school. We signed him up and he's hooked. His self-esteem has grown; he's an even better listener and helper at home; he's developed better coordination and strength; and he's learning about personal goals and communication. This school is about much more than martial arts!
This place is amazing. I cannot say enough about the important lessons, and skills my daughter is learning here.
